Election result in Abuja so far: APC polls 10,853, PDP gets 7,762

INEC this evening released results for FCT, Abuja and so far, APC is leading. APC won the Presidential election with 10,853 votes while PDP scored 7,762.

Announcing the result, the Returning Officer, Dr. Abdullahi Mohammed Evuti of the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Abuja told journalists that the council has 10 wards and the total number of registered voters is 42, 401, while accredited voters is 20, 017.

A breakdown of votes received by political parties show ACPN 14, ADC 11, APC 10, 853, NCP 25, PDP 7,762, PPN 16, UDP 03, APA 26, AA 09, KOWA 03, CPP 16, HDP 02, AD 05 and UPP 02. Source -Vanguard

The Chief Returning Officer for the Presidential election for Ekiti State and VC of Federal University of Technology, (FUTA), Akure, Prof. Biyi Daramola said during a briefing with journalists at INEC office in Ekiti state that president Jonathan scored a total of 176,474 votes while APC presidential candidate Gen. Below is the text of a press conference by the director of media and publicity, PDP, presidential campaign organization, Chief Femi Fani Kayode today...

We are deeply concerned by the level of disinformation and falsehood that is being peddled around by the friends of the opposition in the media and particularly their paid agents and associates on the social media about the results of Saturdays elections. Since yesterday afternoon they have been releasing fake results and they have been attempting to mislead the Nigerian people and our friends in the international community. The public have been inundated with lie after lie about the APC's so-called victories in virtually every single polling booth, ward, local government area and state in the country. This is not only nonsensical but it is also far-fetched, absurd and childish.

Who knew Lynxxx had a mum this young and beautiful? He took to instagram to share a picture of his mum and wished her a happy birthday. He wrote, "Massive birthday Shoutout to my #1! Mama of life! INEC has released results of the Presidential election in 10 local governments in Ogun State. As at 2:pm on Sunday March 29th in Abeokuta, APC won seven with wide margin while PDP won the remaining three local government areas.

The local government areas released so far include Obafemi-Owode, Abeokuta North, Odogboolu, Odeda, Imeko-Afon, Sagamu, Ijebu-Ode, Remo-North, Ewekoro, and Ijebu North-East. See details after the cut...

The Nigeria Police has announced the death of Alhaji Muhammad Hurdi (pictured middle above), the Katsina State commissioner of police. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Aminu Sadiq announced the demise of Hurdi in a statement issued to newsmen on Sunday in Katsina.

Sadiq said that Hurdi died on March 27, after a protracted illness. The late commissioner joined the service in 1988 as ASP cadet officer and rose through the ranks to the rank of a commissioner.

The PPRO said that Hurdi would be remembered as a patriotic and dedicated officer who gave his best in the service of his fatherland. The Deputy Commissioner of police, Mr Bala Zama Senche, prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest and gave the family fortitude to bear the lost. (NAN).

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has charged Nigerians to totally disregard misleading figures being circulated by the APC in the social media as results of the Presidential and National Assembly elections in some polling booths.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh in a statement on Sunday said the figures were “fake and do not represented the true results which are currently being collated by INEC, the only body authorized to release and announce results”.

The Inspector General of Police Suleiman Abba says there is no restriction of movement today nationwide. Speaking with newsmen in Abuja, the IG said despite the extension of the election in some areas, people can go about their business calmly.

FFK slams reports that GEJ lost in his LGA, says PDP won in all wards

There were reports today that President Jonathan lost the election in Femi Fani Kayode's ward in Osun state. The director of media & publicity for the PDP presidential campaign took to Twitter to slam the report, saying they won in all the 4 LGAs of Ile Ife for Jonathan. More tweets after the cut

I am engaged to be married to a man who people say is a woman beater. We have been dating for 8 months but he has never hit me. In fact, he's never acted aggressively towards me. But a mutual friend with his ex-wife told me the woman left while pregnant with their second child because he beat her so badly she feared she would lose the child. In panic, because I am so against domestic violence and don't want to be a victim, I contacted the ex, who told me she suffered abuse in his hands for all the time they were married and that was why she ended the marriage. They were married for only three years. When I confronted my man with this info, he denied it and swore on his children's life that he has never laid his hands on a woman and would sooner cut his arms before raising it to hit a woman. How did this happen? According to reports by Punch and Vanguard, President Jonathan lost to Buhari in the election conducted inside Aso Rock. At polling unit 22, PDP had 302 votes while APC had 348 votes, while at polling unit 21 - PDP had 293 votes while APC had 265 votes.

Collation of results from both polling units gave the PDP a total vote of 595 while the APC had a total of 613‎ votes. The president won the election at the two polling units in 2011.

Meanwhile, APC won PDP 499 to 0 votes in Buhari’s polling unit in Sakin Yara “A”, Kofar Baru 3 in Daura LGA of Katsina state. Out of 501 votes cast in the presidential polls, APC got 499, PDP had no vote, while 3 votes were voided.
