Angelina Jolie & Jennifer Aniston at Critics' Choice Awards

Neither Jennifer Aniston nor Angelina Jolie got the call they were probably hoping for on Thursday morning. But by Thursday night, neither seemed the least bit bothered that they were snubbed by the Oscars, as they were all smiles at the Critics' Choice Awards – where they were nominees.

Aniston, 45, the star of Cake, and Jolie, 39, the director of Unbroken, were seated at tables near each other inside the Hollywood Palladium, but didn't appear to interact with each other during the awards.

Both seemed to be in a great spirits, though, as they mingled with friends and fans and enjoyed the evening – even though both came up short on hardware. (Julianne Moore won best actress for Still Alice, while Richard Linklater took the directing award for Boyhood.)

Aniston and fiancĂ© Justin Theroux looked adorable as they walked the red carpet hand in hand. Once inside, they were never far from each other, as they chatted with their table mates – and Aniston even took selfies with fans.

Meanwhile, Jolie was also surrounded by fans, and welcomed anyone who approached her.

At one point, she spoke with Golden Globe winner and newly minted Oscar nominee Eddie Redmayne for a whole commercial break. The two couldn't stop smiling, especially the British actor. Before the break ended, they snapped a quick photo.

Aniston and Jolie weren't the only ones clearly having a fun night out, either.

Keira Knightley was in a particularly great mood, laughing and chatting with The Imitation Game cast and her husband, James Righton, at their table – and looking radiant as she took a big group selfie.

And Emily Blunt and husband John Krasinski seemed elated to be hanging out with pals Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans – with the four of them talking and laughing nonstop.
